Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Unit

Pay : $26 – $38 / hr (based on experience and tenure)

Night Differential : +$4.50 / hr

Weekend Differential : +$2.00 / hr

Certification Differential : +$2.00 / hr (national certification)

Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (Days) / $15,000 (Nights) – tiered payout

Relocation Assistance : Up to $5,000 with HR approval

Shifts : Full-time, 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights, rotating weekends required)

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Overview

Be part of a 383-bed Level II Trauma Center in Bradenton, FL , minutes from Sarasota and Tampa. The Medical-Surgical team provides care for diverse patient populations, including post-surgical, complex medical, and trauma overflow cases. Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on a Medical-Surgical floor.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policy and evidence-based standards.

Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and update care plans as needed.

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Provide education and support to patients and families during hospitalization and recovery.

Qualifications

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred .

Current Florida RN license or compact state RN license.

BLS required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire .

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (hospital experience preferred, but LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab backgrounds considered ).

Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and clinical skills.

Must be able to lift / move up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
