American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(N) certification to work independently in an acute care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care hospital radiology department specializing in nuclear medicineMonday through Thursday schedule, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, 8-hour day shiftsNo weekend, holiday, call, or standby requirementsDepartment has 1 scanner / room and uses GE equipmentPerforms general nuclear medicine studies including stress tests, HIDA scans, bone, renal, thyroid, and brain imagingExpected to assist with diagnostic general x-ray procedures during downtimeUses MEDITECH EMR and Merge RIS / PACS for documentationOne week department-specific orientation providedNo floating or cross-coverage to other areas requiredResponsible for performing weekly and monthly nuclear medicine QC and managing nuclear medicine pharmaceuticalsRadiology team includes a lead tech and limited on-site radiologist support; off-hour studies are read remotelyNo specific scrub color or uniform requiredLocal traveler applications not accepted; applicants must live beyond the facility's local radiusPrevious WVU employees must have a 2-year break before applying; cannot work longer than one year cumulatively within WVU before a 2-year break is requiredFirst-time travelers will be consideredRole does not involve on-call or holiday coverage\n \n Requirements\n
