Distinguishing Features of Work

The City of Wichita is seeking a dedicated Custodial Worker to join our team at Wichita Airport. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facilities. These employees perform janitorial services in and around public buildings, ensuring a welcoming environment for passengers, staff, and visitors. You will receive supervision and special instructions from a higher-level employee.

Hours and Days : 8 : 00AM-4 : 30PM, Wednesday-Sunday

Starting Salary Range : $15.48 - $16.26 depending on experience and qualifications

Bargaining Unit : Service Employee's International (SEIU)

• Employees within the department of division shall be given first consideration

Experience and Training

Six months of experience performing routine janitorial and / or grounds keeping work.

Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of the results of a criminal records check.

May also be required to pass a KBI background investigation.
