Physician / Hospitalist / Alabama / Permanent / Hospital-Employed Hospitalist Position in Dothan, Al

Hospital-employed Hospitalist group seeks additional Internal Medicine residency-trained physicians to join a robust, rapidly growing practice as Hospitalist in Dothan, Alabama.

This is a 400+ bed regional referral in Dothan, Alabama. It manages its own hospitalist program. The current practice includes more than 25 full-time board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Daily, 12 physicians work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift and 2 physicians will each have an IM resident provide care during the 7 PM - 7 AM. shift. The average daily census is 15-20 patients per provider on the day shift and 9-10 patients per provider on the night shift.

HOSPITALIST PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS

• Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in-hospital consults
• Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care?no procedures required
• 24 / 7 pulmonary / critical care support for all CC admissions
• Manage patients in the clinical decision unit
• 24-hour subspecialty support is available for all specialties including the presence of a house radiology physician presence 24 / 7
• 12-hour work shifts, no call required
• The average schedule is 16 shifts per month
