Behavioral Therapist

Job Description

Our client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join their outpatient behavioral health practice in Virginia Beach, VA. The Therapist will provide counseling and psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in an outpatient setting. This role involves performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
• Formulate diagnoses in accordance with DSM-V-TR and Virginia Board of Counseling regulations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans collaboratively with clients and update regularly.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, IFS, ACT, etc.).
• Deliver culturally competent care with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs.

Requirements

Education : Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.

Licensure : Active Virginia licensure required (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist).
