Description\n\nSummary : \n\nJoin our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the ICU Cardiovascular unit, where you will provide both routine and complex care to patients. You will have the opportunity to practice independently while demonstrating a thorough understanding of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role allows for the continued development of clinical skills and management of complex clinical situations, including delegation and care coordination with other providers.\n\nResponsibilities : \n

- Deliver nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.\n
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families at your level of practice.\n
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.\n
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.\n
- Assess the educational needs of patients and families, providing resources and support to address issues.\n\nJob Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.\n\nExperience\n
- Preferably 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
- BLS certification is required.\n
- RN License in the state of employment or compact RN license.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
- Newly hired experienced RNs must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.\n
- New hires will be precepted by trained staff, and initial onboarding competency will be validated through successful completion of critical care competency evaluations.\n
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.\n\nExperience\n
- A minimum of one year in a critical care setting is preferred, but new graduates can apply.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
- Current ACLS certification is required.\n\nAll Associates must obtain necessary certifications within the designated timeframe as per the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification and Registration Verification Policy.\n\nWe offer grace periods for credentialing requirements based on experience : \n
- For experienced associates : ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire.\n
