About The Opportunity

The selected candidate will join Avaya’s CISO Org and Cybersecurity Team as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) on-site at Irving, Texas, or US-based VO-Virtual Office reporting location. As an ISSM supporting Avaya’s Azure-based FedRAMP Offers, you will ensure classified information systems meet cybersecurity requirements and government directives.

Job Responsibilities include :

  • Assist Program Managers in the development and maintenance of System Security Plans (SSP), control evidence and associated artifacts such as the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M), Risk Assessment Report, and Continuous Monitoring Strategy
  • Collaborate with Compliance team lead for GovCloud Offers and serve as a primary interface to the 3PAO (Auditor) and FedRAMP agency for the targeted Avaya Azure-based GovCloud Offer.
  • Collaborate with Program, Cybersecurity, Management / Senior level internal i.e. Program Managers, and external i.e. 3PAO / auditor, government Security Control Assessor, stakeholders / sponsors.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity team to perform system auditing and security monitoring for Azure-based infrastructure in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) requirements and support investigations on information assurance related security violations / incidents.
  • Ensure all authorization documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
  • Oversee the information security training and awareness program.
  • Track audit findings and recommendations to ensure that appropriate mitigation actions are taken.

About You

Basic Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizenship and residency
  • Must pass a Public Trust background check, or have an active U.S. security clearance
  • ISSM or 5+ years of relevant security experience
  • Familiarity with security architecture, change management processes, and project management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry security policies, regulations, and guidelines e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA, STIG.
  • Desired Skills :

  • Ability to work in a team environment, demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, well organized, flexible, and self-motivated / ability to work with limited supervision.
  • High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills and adapt seamlessly to an ever-changing security environment.
  • Experience with the development of core documentation including System Security Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Plans of Actions and Milestones, Remediation Plans, and Configuration Management Plans.
  • Azure experience in support of NIST 800-53 control-related evidence collection
  • Certifications :

  • IAT Level II (e.g. Security+ CE, CCNA Security, etc.) or IAM Level II (e.g. CISSP, CISM) aligned with DoD 8570.1M requirements - within 6 months of hire
  • Compensation

    The pay range for this opportunity is from $125,400 to $169,300 + performance-related bonus + benefits

    This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
