We are building a team of highly skilled, talented, and customer-focused professionals to work with Lumen Product, Technology, Partner, and Sales teams, and our ecosystem partners, to create Lumen Validated Designs and solutions that address customer needs and industry use cases.
The Role
As a Senior Lead Program Manager, you will be a key member of the Lumen Validated Designs team and will work closely with cross-functional team members in Lumen Product, Technology, Connected Ecosystem, and Sales to manage Validated Design projects from concept to launch. This position provides skilled Program and Project leadership and technical competencies to plan, manage and deliver all aspects of one or more large, technical and complex LVD project(s), crossing multiple disciplines. You will also be responsible for working cross-functionally to manage lead individual LVDs through the integrated LVD and CE governance program. Key success factors for this role are a track record and passion for leading and delivering Program(s) and Project(s) on-time, on-budget and to scope specifications. This is a lead PM role in a matrix management environment where strong leadership, training, and mentoring of less experienced PM may be required.
The Main Responsibilities
Collaborating with directors, product managers, solution architects, partner alliance managers, and other leads within the LVD team and across groups.
Cross-functional collaboration with Innovation Executives, Partner and Customer Experience teams, and ecosystem partners in leading each LVD project.
Synthesize disparate information into clear recommendations, actions and decisions.
Provides technical direction for LVD projects in an assigned area, from concept through design to validation to launch.
Lead to ensure that the project is on schedule, is high quality, is within budget, and meets the measures of success (MOS), high-level achievements (HLA), and LVD Framework, including completion of all required documentation.
Oversee and mitigate risks across technical functional lanes to ensure that project meets agreed MOS and HLAs.
Lead and maintain client / stakeholder partnerships to ensure overall satisfaction.
Responsible for identifying and tracking resource requirements / allocation.
Develops methodologies, procedures, and systems to manage programs and projects and produce operational and financial reporting.
Acts as project team leader.
Maintain knowledge in several of the following : technical architecture and solution creation, validated designs, software development lifecycle management in mainframe, midrange and three tier architecture, software testing methodology, production deployment, development, and requirements management.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related experience
Expertise and training in program and project management methods (waterfall & agile, PMP), and a strong business acumen
8+ years of experience as a Program Manager in the telecom or technology industries
Passionate and innovative with a proven track record of success; an action-oriented, strategic and creative thinker with a detailed focus on implementation and on-going execution of training programs in the field
Must be self-directed, results-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate and work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
Demonstrates aptitude for analyzing complex issues and developing and recommending appropriate solutions
Ability to exhibit strong strategic planning and cross-functional partnership, providing tactical direction and driving a large team to achieve predefined performance metrics
Periodic travel (25%) required
Compensation : This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges :
$103,711 - $138,281 in these states : AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states : CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
