Senior Mammography Technologist

(Principal Accountabilities)
As a Senior Mammography Technologist, you will be a leader in providing exceptional diagnostic care :
- Perform Advanced Mammography Exams : Expertly conduct all required mammography radiographic exams, ensuring strict compliance with all radiation safety protocols. This includes patient preparation, procedure explanation, administering contrast (when necessary), precise patient positioning, selecting optimal imaging techniques, and ensuring the highest technical quality of all images.
- Equipment Quality & Accreditation : Execute and document quality assurance (QA) checks on mammography equipment. You will also assist with initial and renewal applications for ACR and other key accreditations.
- Patient Data Management : Accurately enter and monitor essential patient data.
- Safety & Reporting : Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, promptly identifying and reporting any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.
- On-Call Service : Participate in the department's emergency call rotation.
- Professional Growth & Mentorship : Actively pursue continuing education and skills competency. Serve as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced technologists, supporting departmental and organizational goals.
Adherence to Standards : Consistently adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary guidelines.

Education & Certifications
Required Education : Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology AND an approved program of Mammography Technology .Licenses / Certifications :Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS / ACLS) .Current or Temporary Texas Medical Board (TMB) License (MRT) .Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R) .Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) .Experience & Skills
Experience : A minimum of 4 years of prior experience as a Mammography Technologist is required.Physical Ability : Ability to safely lift and / or maneuver patients in conjunction with others to perform job functions.Cultural Fit : Demonstrate a strong commitment to our organizational culture—delivering on our brand promise by integrating innovation, accountability, empowerment, collaboration, compassion, and results into every interaction.Desired Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be highly preferred :
Prior experience with scheduling and patient workflow management .Experience in quality reviews and preparing for Joint Commission or similar accreditation audits .
