Key Details - Assignment Type : Locum Tenens - Setting : Inpatient - Start Date : ASAP - Schedule : Combination of approximately six shifts per month, including nights, days, and weekends; could be 12 or 24-hour shifts - Patient Population : Adult - Location : Boston, MA Benefits - Weekly direct deposit - Malpractice insurance with tail coverage - Supportive credentialing assistance - Lodging and mileage reimbursement - Flexible scheduling Job Responsibilities - Oversee labor and delivery management, including monitoring, pain management, and delivery assistance - Provide emergency obstetric care and perform both vaginal and cesarean deliveries - Monitor and manage postpartum care while patients are hospitalized - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care - Provide consultative services to midwives and family medicine providers Qualifications - MD / DO degree from an accredited medical school - Eligible for Massachusetts Medical License - Board certified or an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology - Commitment to obstetrics education, health equity, and quality improvement - Fluency in Spanish or other languages is a plus Working Hours - Combination of nights, days, and weekend shifts, approximately six shifts per month - Could be 12 or 24-hour shifts Skills - Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion - Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team - Excellent communication skills for patient and family education - Leadership and mentorship capabilities in obstetric care procedures
