About the Opportunity :

A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with accuracy and timeliness
• Manage all aspects of GAAP financial reporting, audits, and compliance
• Supervise and mentor a small accounting team
• Ensure proper accounting for grants, reimbursements, and restricted funds
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
• Implement and enhance internal controls, systems, and procedures
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and healthcare compliance agencies
