Job description

Position : Registered Nurse (RN) - Med / Surg\n\nRegistered Nurse (RN) - Med / Surg at Westfields Hospital & Clinic\nJob Description\n\nAs a Registered Nurse in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Med / Surg department, you will collaborate with the attending physician and the healthcare team to support and care for patients in all areas of the critical access hospital.\nResponsibilities\n

  • Assesses, admits, transfers or discharges patients and completes all necessary documentation.\n
  • Performs basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care, considering age-appropriate needs.\n
  • Evaluates the patient's condition and response to treatments, notifying the physician, charge nurse and other care givers as appropriate.\nWork Schedule\n
  • Casual – requirement is 2 shifts per month, including at least one weekend shift if available.\nRequired Qualifications\n
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin.\n
  • BLS certification required and ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.\nPreferred Qualifications\n
  • Experience in EPIC computer system.\n
  • Minimum of 2 years hospital experience, preferably high observation, progressive care, or ICU experience.\nBenefits\n
