What You'll Do

As Flatirons Controller, you will have reporting responsibility for the companys global accounting function, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and public company requirements. You will be responsible for evolving the Accounting function to support Flatirons rapidly growing and increasingly complex business, including international operations and integration with our corporate parent, Roche.

• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team with a culture of camaraderie, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead all accounting operations including close, billing and collections, revenue recognition, audit, tax compliance, technical accounting and financial reporting, deftly balancing the needs of accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and enhance Flatirons internal control structure and accounting policies, ensuring SOX compliance and robust financial controls.
• Drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, while balancing the evolving needs of a complex international business.
• Ensure high standards of technical accounting knowledge and day-to-day application across the team.
• Support strategic decision-making by collaborating cross-functionally and providing expert advice on the financial implications of business decisions.

Who You Are

You're a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who values the opportunity to think beyond the way things are. You are a strong, proven leader with 10+ years of progressive in-house accounting experience, including 5+ years of people management and 5+ years serving as a controller at a company with multiple revenue streams and annual revenues in excess of $300M.
