Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

Start Date : 5 / 19 (Pending Credentialing or Temporary Privileges) Schedule : Two weeks on, two weeks off Shift Hours : 7 : 00 AM 4 : 00 PM with call coverage

Position Overview :

Surgical and clinic duties including vein harvesting and first assist for CT surgery

Clinic census : 2-6 patients per day

Call census : 4-6 patients per day (varies based on hospital census)

Work alongside 1 CVT surgeon

Surgical procedures include CABG, valve repair / replacement, and vascular cases

Certification Requirements :

BLS and ACLS

PA or APRN certification

Case log verification for vein harvesting (endoscopic or open); endoscopic experience required

Equipment :

EVH : Maquet (Getinge) Vasoview Hemopro 2

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years in CT surgery and vein harvesting required

Candidate Requirements :

Active NV State License or IMLC

Flu and Covid vaccinations required (Medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Credentialing : Target date : ASAP

Temporary privileges may be granted for clean candidates
