Staff Accountant

Job Summary

Responsible for performing detailed, accurate general and treasury accounting activities. Performs special assignments as requested. Maintain and control general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization. Must be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks. This position requires a level of independence working. High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries
• Assist in monthly- and year-end closings
• Performs bank reconciliations
• Assist in fixed asset maintenance
• Performs various ad-hoc reporting
• Review all expense reports for accuracy and to ensure they comply with AP policy.
• Review and process credit card expense reports and receipts submitted by users.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with miscellaneous tax reports.
• Assist with accounts receivable or accounts payable
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting
