Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner Job Description & Requirements

Provides comprehensive care to patients with cancer and blood disorders, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up. Manages chemotherapy, symptom control, and supportive care in collaboration with oncologists and the care team. Educates patients and families, monitors treatment response, and ensures continuity of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements :

Master s or Doctorate in Nursing

Active NP license and board certification (FNP, AGACNP, or equivalent)

Oncology certification (OCN or advanced) preferred

1 2 years of NP experience in hematology / oncology or a related field

Strong clinical knowledge of cancer therapies and patient management

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
