Role Overview:
As a Deputy Warden, you will work independently, receiving general instructions and policy directions from the Warden/DOC Executive Staff. You will make authoritative decisions on the content and extent of programs that have a significant impact on facility operations. On the Warden's behalf, you may interact with groups as the news media, community groups, and community officials. You will have contact with administrative, program, and custody staff for the purpose of coordinating and managing the activities of the facility. You will have contact with offenders for the general purpose of providing custody care. Many of these interactions may involve a high level of conflict resolution.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $67,314.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
