Job Overview :

The AVP Security systems Manager is responsible for the day-to-day security function within a region or site aligned with the Corporate Security Program and its respective business objectives, leading specific core competencies within the Corporate Security Program, and providing oversight to contract security staffing and security systems services for the site and / or region. Additional responsibilities include providing leadership and consultation regarding security issues, projects, and investigations, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for questions and issues that arise regarding the security operations, providing security awareness and training to the employee population, and performing other duties as required in support of department, functional and company goals.

On a periodic basis, the AVP Security Systems Manager will conduct site security reviews for the purpose of maintaining safe workspaces and asset protection. This position will have oversight of the firm's electronic security infrastructure, with a primary focus on access control, CCTV surveillance, intercom systems, and the coordination of repairs and maintenance activities. This position involves close collaboration with the security integration vendor to ensure system stability, provide prompt responses to equipment malfunctions, and implement innovative solutions to optimize performance.

The AVP Security Systems Manager requires daily on-site presence at the designated corporate home office, with occasional travel to conduct security system assessments, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role requires extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, programming, testing, and maintaining complex electronic systems and components. Advanced knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, security software platforms, applicable safety codes, and systems integration are also required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and management of electronic security systems (access control, CCTV surveillance, intercom systems)
  • Engineering (design, layout, architecture, and programming) of electronic security systems
  • Management of the repair and maintenance of existing electronic security systems
  • Research and development of new electronic security technology
  • Perform daily inspections of electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intercoms
  • Design, develop, build, test, and the deployment of security systems
  • Coordinate and support service requests and activities with the security integration vendor
  • Review and revise vendor proposals and security system designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and guidelines
  • Develop comprehensive, site-specific documentation for security system installation
  • Requires up to 20% travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in low-voltage electrical security systems
  • In depth understanding of security software platforms with advanced programming skills
  • In depth knowledge of electronic security equipment / hardware
  • Experience managing security integration vendors
  • Experience creating security system specifications and architecture diagrams
  • Core Competencies :

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of programs
  • Effective project management skills that promote team productivity and the completion of assigned and self-initiated projects within budget and delivered on schedule
  • Leadership and management skills that foster an environment of trust, innovation, and excellence
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situations effectively
  • Acute awareness of security practices
  • Strong computer skills to include experience working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Pay Range :

    $92,625-$154,375 / year

    Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
