Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

For over 30 years, we have designed and manufactured specialty fiber lasers, amplifiers, and transport fibers with installations worldwide, serving industries such as defense, sensing, metrology, and research through continuous innovation and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
3. Coordinate all audit activity.
4. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; understand and communicate financial results to the management team.
5. Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the management team; continuously collaborate with team members to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.
6. Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes.
7. Leverage strengths of the finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals.
8. Remain up-to-date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding nonprofit operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or CPA is a plus.
2. Accounting and Financial management experience. Experience in the Engineering industry is a plus.
3. Proven expertise in compliance, financial analysis, financial software, and spreadsheets.
4. Knowledge of accounting and reporting software.
5. Must possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.
7. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of the organization.
