Job Title : Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the assembly and testing of UAV jet engines. This role is crucial in managing the day-to-day processes in our newly established jet engine manufacturing facility, ensuring both high volume output and exceptional quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage all processes related to the assembly and testing of jet engines.
- Develop training documentation and mentor assembly technicians.
- Monitor assembly processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, conducting inspections and tests.
- Establish and improve process documentation for manufacturing functions and manage the Corrective Action Requests (CAR) database.
- Develop innovative manufacturing processes focused on efficiency and output goals, with an emphasis on LEAN methodology.
- Participate in Gemba walks, ensure 5S compliance, and create visual management boards for daily communication.
- Provide ideas for continuous improvement and innovative approaches to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Address and resolve issues during assembly and testing using root cause analysis tools, and implement corrective actions.
Essential Skills
Experience in process improvement, manufacturing processes, and LEAN manufacturing.Familiarity with Six Sigma, ISO 9001, AS9100, and ERP systems.An associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing process engineering with 5+ years of experience.Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Proficiency in using assembly processes and related tooling.Direct experience with ERP systems.Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience or certification in LEAN methodology, such as LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt, is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively in a team environment.Work Environment
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 1st shift, and 100% onsite. Each employee will be provided with their own workstation, computer, and badge. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $170000.00 / hr.
