Job Description

Based in Encinitas, CA, AToN Center functions as a Residential Treatment Center that caters to those with addiction, depression, anxiety and / or trauma reactions. AToN is seeking a Registered Psychological Assistant, Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) for full-time and part-time positions. The candidate will facilitate 1) psycho-edu. groups based on CBT and components of DBT, 2) process groups, 3) 1-2 individual therapy sessions per shift and 4) some family therapy. The clinical team at AToN comprises mainly of masters- and doctoral-level therapists, with the clinical culture leaning towards progressive.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Must be able to conduct individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy
• Knowledge in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, addiction, and Motivational Interviewing preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed therapies greatly preferred
• Familiarity with SMART Recovery and 12 Step support a plus
• Must be computer literate
• Professionalism and sound judgment
• Communication skills - both in sessions and across departments - vital

Specific Duties

Regular group and individual therapy sessions

Some family therapy

Outreach calls to family and outside professionals

Participates in daily treatment planning / clinical meetings

Collaborates with Case Manager to coordinate discharge plans

Crisis management as needed

Attend and participate in all staff meetings, consultation groups, and in-service trainings

Document all sessions and disclosures / communications in the companys EHR

Maintain continuing education requirements for licensure
