Key Responsibilities :
Design and implement Android client code that aligns with product strategies while following engineering best practices and design principles.
Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX / UI Designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners to create engaging and high-quality customer experiences.
Participate actively in team agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of commitments with the highest standards.
Champion the mobile platform within both internal and external developer communities.
Stay updated on emerging technologies related to mobile development (Kotlin, Swift, open-source libraries, etc.).
Contribute to discussions and integrate feedback from the larger team.
Mentor junior and mid-level developers within the team.
Engage cross-functionally with developers across disciplines including Android, iOS, APIs, and Web.
Lead the delivery of key components and platform requirements alongside senior engineers and architects.
Share best practices and drive process improvements within and between teams.
Identify technical challenges early and collaborate with the team to devise effective solutions.
Review pull requests to ensure compliance with Kotlin and related coding standards.
Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to the team.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree
A minimum of 4 years in professional software engineering (internship experience not included).
At least 3 years of experience in developing Android applications.
A minimum of 3 years of expertise with Kotlin.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's Degree
5+ years of experience developing Android applications.
4+ years of experience with Kotlin.
4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
Over 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies.
This position is located in McLean, VA. Salaries for this role range from $193,400 to $220,700, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
