About The Position
Job Title : Speech and Language Pathologist
Profession : Speech and Language Pathology

Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Days
Hours per Shift : 8 hours M-F, flexible times
Experience : Minimum 1 year of SLP experience is required. New graduates are acceptable as long as they have Level II experience and not just Level I observation experience.
License : Missouri State License required
Certifications : CCC certified SLP required. 3 years experience holding active CCS preferred
Must-Have : LTC or Rehab experience required
Description :
Effectively screens, evaluates, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
Develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness.
Modifies services in relation to patient evaluation and refers as necessary based on outcomes.
Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders.
Communicates effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
Provides a comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.
Maintains patient records according to company policy.
Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
Participates in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings.
Engages in facility and company required training, in-services, and conferences.
Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Supervises and supports CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists.
Adheres to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
