Compensation
90k-$110k
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations CNG fleet operationsPromote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, leading and attending regular safety meetings, working closely with the safety manager, and recognizing key safety contributionsAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the teamEnsure compliance with all transportation regulatory issuesResponsible for Centralized Dispatch of bulk fleet orders for all deliveries to customersManage efficient usage of equipment and personnel for material deliveriesPrepare and monitor the annual sales / operations budget for the transportation business unitFleet metrics management and monthly reportingMonthly P&L responsibilityEstablish haul costs for internal and external bidding purposes; works with sales and billing to ensure proper rates and stand-by times are utilized and includedWork with the Equipment Manager and truck shops to keep an updated and well-maintained truck fleetResponsible for handling any driver and service personnel after-hours accidents, issues, and concernsResponsible for the hiring, training, and development of personnelWork with sales on growth opportunitiesEducation
High school diploma / GEDBachelor’s degree preferredRequirements / Qualifications
Safety mentalityThree or more years coordinating people and resources in a construction materials environment, particularly working within or with the DOTKnowledge of principles and methods for moving construction materials by truck, including relative costs, customer needs, efficient scheduling and safe operationsMust demonstrate strong business acumenSalesmanship skills to attract and retain relationships with sub-haulersFamiliarity with scaling, bill prep and invoicing construction materialsStrong computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Suite, Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPointExcellent communication skills and ability to motivate a teamExperience interviewing, selecting, and training peoplePresentation skillsCritical thinking and decision-making under pressurePreferred :
College Degree in Transport and LogisticsFamiliar with SAPConditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug / alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration / clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
