Advanced Practice Provider (NP / PA) - Hematology Oncology (Inpatient 2nd Shift)

Position Description :

The Department of Medicine - Division of Hematology and Oncology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the inpatient services located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Froedtert Hospital, Center for Advanced Care, and other inpatient units.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Primary Function / Responsibility :

• Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring Hematology / Oncology / BMT intervention in inpatient environment as a member of the HemOnc / BMT inpatient service.
• Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care of this team through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard.
• Facilitates and communicates with patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across the continuum of care.
• Evaluates quality outcomes for the patients receiving care of this team through participation in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard.
• Participates in ongoing clinical research projects related to the field of hematology / oncology / BMT

Physician Assistant : Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
