Job descriptionSenior Level : Serves as Sustainment Lead or Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provides expert level knowledge of sustainment life cycle management activities for programs and project operations. Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and refining the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhance software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency. Provides technical directions to programmers, as required, to ensure that program deadlines are met. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Bachelor's degree in information technology related field with ten (10) years of relevant experience. Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations. Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives. Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. Must possess an active DOD Secret Clearance

Summary :
- MEBS is utilized to perform standard DLA inventory management functions to include product record creation and management, demand analysis, requisition processing, product procurement, and customer account management.
- In addition to standard processes, MEBS performs customer customizable subscription services (referred to as Automatic Distribution (AD)), U.S. Naval and Coast Guard Fleet Command customizable hydrographical navigation packages (FLEET), DoD and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Flight Information Publications (FLIP) management, and Combatant Command (COCOM) War Reserve (WR) packages.
- It also includes two interface modules allowing input by National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) personnel to provide Control and Release (C&R) security review / approval of customer orders, and entry of new and updated product notifications (Automated Print Process (APP)).
- Customizable reports are provided via Oracle Business Intelligence - Publisher (BIP).
