Day in the Life
On our 2nd or 3rd shift in Warsaw, IN, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring parts meet customer, work order, and print specifications. You’ll move between incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, translating drawings and visual standards into confident pass / fail decisions that keep production flowing.
- Begin your shift by reviewing job routers, drawings, and visual standards, confirming paperwork is complete and accurate before work proceeds.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections with functional gauges and visual overlays to verify compliance at each stage.
- Run precision checks using Micro-Vu, Keyence, comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement gauges.
- Capture and enter dimensional results into Datamyte Quality Reporting Software in real time, keeping data clean and traceable.
- Spot, tag, and segregate nonconforming material; generate nonconformance reports and communicate findings to the team.
- Complete inspection records, checklists, Shop Traveler pages, and any required work-order documentation.
- Verify documentation accuracy from start to finish, ensuring each job packet tells the full quality story.
- Follow all company policies and procedures; step in for other quality-related tasks as assigned.
