School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Chicago Ridge, IL

Grade Levels : 2nd-5th Grade

Caseload : Approximately 35 students

Schedule : FMLA - October 30 - February 28 | Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 3 : 15 PM (33.75 hours / week)

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to elementary students in a supportive school environment. This is an FMLA coverage opportunity ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping students develop essential communication skills.

Role Overview :

The SLP will be responsible for conducting student evaluations, delivering individualized therapy services, and documenting progress in alignment with each student's plan of care and physician's orders. This role plays a vital part in supporting student success in both academic and social settings.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades 2-5

Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

Collaborate with educators, families, and administrators to support student needs

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations

Minimum Requirements :

Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License (required)

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) (preferred; may be required by contract)

Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR certification (if applicable)

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
