Job Title : Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location : Doylestown, PA 18901
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PM
Grade Level Supported : 11th Grade (High School)
Reports To : Supervisor of Special Education and Building Principal
Job Description
Our client is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support a high school female student attending Lifeworks Academy. The student has experienced trauma and benefits from consistent emotional support, clear boundaries, and trauma-informed care.
The PCA will assist the student throughout the school day, helping her engage in academic activities, manage emotional regulation, and navigate social interactions. This role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to build trust over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to the student during school hours
- Assist with emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Support the student in maintaining healthy boundaries with peers and staff
- Monitor transitions and outdoor activities to ensure safety
- Collaborate with school staff and behavior management teams
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
