Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
Job responsibilities :
Analyze financial data to detect and investigate potential fraud, embezzlement, and other financial crimes.
Compile detailed reports of findings, including evidence of financial discrepancies and irregularities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to prevent future financial misconduct.
Provide expert testimony in court cases, explaining complex financial information in an understandable manner.
Utilize various software tools to analyze large datasets and identify patterns indicative of fraudulent activity.
Identify and assess financial risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure that financial practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other business related field.
3-5 years of public accounting experience at a CPA firm.
Proficiency in accounting software and forensic tools.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to meticulously document findings and prepare detailed reports.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple investigations and meet deadlines. REF #49563
