Major Gifts Officer

Job Title : Major Gifts Officer

Reporting to the Director of Major and Planned Gifts, the Major Gifts Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major gifts in support of general operations and restricted program areas. The Major Gifts Officer will have a tremendous opportunity to engage with a robust prospect pool to help WNET further its mission and advance its strategic path.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Work collaboratively across the department and organization to develop a deep understanding of WNET's mission and goals;
• Manage a personal portfolio of 100-150 donors and prospects capable of making gifts of $25,000+, developing individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies;
• Actively engage in qualification efforts for prospects, working with the major and planned gifts, prospect development, and mid-level giving teams;
• Schedule, manage and attend regular donor meetings, visits and calls;
• Prepare meaningful and effective proposals, reports, acknowledgements and other collateral, stewarding donors through an impactful communications journey;
• Collaborate with program staff and other internal stakeholders to effectively connect donors to WNET's work;
• Assist in the planning and execution of a potential capital campaign;
• Track all moves management and contact activity in Salesforce CRM;
• Represent the WNET Development department at events, as needed;
• Perform additional duties and special projects, as required.

The WNET Group offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary ranges are based on benchmarked nonprofit and industry related data provided by an outside consulting firm and are commensurate with skills and experience. The hiring salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $105,000.00. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
