SafeHomesCO Program Manager
Join the Colorado School of Public Health as a SafeHomesCO Program Manager (Research Services Program Manager). This position is a key member of the school's Injury and Violence Prevention Center (IVPC) and will be responsible for day-to-day operations and overarching implementation of the SafeHomesCO Program activities. This program equips professionals who provide home-visit public health services with the knowledge and skills to discuss firearm injury and opioid overdose risk with parents, guardians, and caretakers. The program consists of training and provides safety kits to households which contain firearm locking devices, storage for medications, and educational materials that encourage secure storage of firearms and medications.
This role involves program promotion, curriculum development, training coordination and facilitation, stakeholder communication, and program evaluation. Candidates should have strong organization and communication skills, an interest and / or background in injury and violence prevention (particularly related to firearms and / or opioids), and the ability to navigate the challenges of communicating on controversial issues while respecting the diverse views and lived experiences of impacted communities and partners.
Key Responsibilities :
This position will be offered as part-time (0.5 FTE) to full-time (1.0 FTE) depending on candidate preference and availability. This position reports to the Associate Director of the Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative.
Work Location : Hybrid This position is located on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO and is expected to work on site three days per week. In-person attendance at program trainings across the state of Colorado is expected.

The Injury and Violence Prevention Center (IVPC) is a collaborative initiative of the ColoradoSPH and the CU School of Medicine. The IVPC drives evidence-based prevention of injuries and violence through research and by providing training, education, and dissemination to community partners and practitioners. This position is a key member of the IVPC and will support the development, implementation, and expansion of the SafeHomesCO program, an educational program of the IVPC and the CU Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative (FIPI).

Anticipated Salary Range : The starting target salary for this position has been established as $67,000 - $84,000 (1.0 FTE). The above salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
