About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - NICU
Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
Specialty : RRT-NICU
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : Night 3x12-Hour
Hours per Shift : 12
Experience : Minimum of 2 years in NICU / PICU
License : NM License (Pending accepted)
Certifications : RRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP
Must-Have : Trauma Level I experience
Description :
Start date is 11 / 17.
Candidates may work 36 or 48 hours per week, with 48-hour shifts preferred.
No RQI certifications required.
Candidates may float to adult units as needed.
Travelers living within a 75-mile radius will not be accepted.
COVID vaccination is required, though religious and medical exemptions will be accepted with appropriate documentation.
The average daily census is 6-10 vents.
All travelers are expected to work weekends as needed by the unit, with a maximum of 3 consecutive weekends.
Required skills include NICU experience and Pediatric Critical Care.
Specific competencies include endotracheal tube / suctioning, extubation, and nasal airway placement / suctioning.
Experience in tracheostomy suctioning and pulmonary toileting is also necessary.
The candidate must have proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs).
Experience with high-frequency oscillation and jet ventilation, as well as NICU and PICU methods, is essential.
Professional behavior and accountability are expected throughout the assignment.
Compliance with all facility policies and procedures is mandatory.
