POSITION SUMMARY :
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is looking for a Sr Maintenance & Operations Technician to join their Greenway Team! This position will assist with the upkeep of our urban greenway trail systems throughout Mecklenburg County. The incumbent will work independently maintaining several miles of our greenways including emptying trash receptacles, removing graffiti, blowing off trail surfaces, and other general upkeep tasks. Additionally, the selected candidate will be instrumental in ensuring our greenways remain safe and presentable for our community to enjoy. The successful candidate will have experience operating utility carts with pull behind blowers and have experience pulling a trailer behind a truck. This position will work daytime hours during the week and weekends only as needed based on business demands.

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of experience related to area of assignment

Licenses / Certifications : Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver’s License and County Driving Privileges; Depending on the area of assignment, may require a Class A or B CDL with one or more of the following endorsements, H(Hazardous Materials), N(Tank Vehicle), P (Passenger Transport), S (School Bus / Passenger Transport), T (Double / Triples), or X (Tanker and hazardous Materials).
