Responsibilities
Liaising with administrators, performers, maintenance technicians and museum staff in addition to the members of the general public on a regular basisPlace lavaliere microphones on speakers / performersPrepare stage for performance (engage security doors, remove stage stair blocker, execute stage plot)Ensure A / V gear is not damaged during performanceReturn all A / V gear to the respective storage locationsExecute on-stage performative elements during R.O.S. (i.e. removing introduction mic, placing Q&A mics at proper time during performance)Liaise with performers to ensure they are fully prepared prior to performanceProvide constant real-time feedback and communication with designated personnelPerform global museum startup and shutdown procedures when requestedProvide immediate technical assistance for all A / V gear within current exhibitionsProvide direct support to A / V personnel as situation dictatesAdditional duties as requestedQualifications
High school diploma requiredCollege coursework in audio / visual production preferredMinimum of 1 year of audio / visual experience (ideally within a professional / corporate / educational environment)High critical thinking capacity and fast problem-solving abilityMeeting expected requirements within a time-based environmentOperating efficiently as a member of a team or completely autonomouslyAdditional experience (preferred) : Performative experience on Yamaha LS9, Yamaha QL1 mixing boards, Mackie Analog consoles, AMX control surfaces, StageMix iPad application, Reaper Recording software, Pro Tools Software; experience operating A / V gear within a museum, corporate or educational environment with noise / action restrictions; constant desire to expand A / V knowledge beyond specific job requirementsPhysical Demands

This position will require the employee to lift (up to 50 lbs.), bend, stoop, walk, speak and stand for up to 8 hours in a day.
Compensation
Salary : $40 / hour
