Join the Texas A&M College of Dentistry in the Clinical Affairs Department as a Registered Dental Assistant! The successful applicant will bring experience and knowledge of general dental terminology while adapting to and supporting a fast-paced clinical environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume clinical environment and be able to apply their knowledge and skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Minimum Required Qualifications
Dental Assistant I : High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Dental Assistant II : High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 2 years of experience performing dental assistant duties.
Dental Assistant III : High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 4 years of experience as a registered dental assistant in a private practice, clinic, or dental training program.
Required Licenses and Certifications - FOR ALL LEVELS :
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of dental terminology, as well as instruments, materials, and standardized dental procedures used in dental care and dental radiographic equipment operation. They will have knowledge of infectious control policies, aseptic techniques, supplies, and equipment. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, exhibit strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to explain procedures and policies while following verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives.
