Overview :

The Training Aircraft Readiness Systems Analyst (Journeyman) will support the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD.  The program which this position supports is responsible for managing the aircraft, simulators, and associated systems that support the U.S. Navy’s undergraduate pilot training pipeline. This Program Office’s purview includes the acquisition, development and maintenance of six trainer aircraft : TH-73 Thrasher, T-44 Pegasus, T-45 Goshawk, T-6 Texan II, and T-54A Marlin II. These aircraft and programs also include related simulator suites, academic materials, computer-based training integration systems and contractor logistics support.

Primary Duties :

• Perform comprehensive training aircraft readiness analysis and support the Program Office through the review and assessment of all training aircraft readiness metrics, while gaining experience and expanding analytical expertise within the organization.
• Collect readiness information to analyze and evaluate.
• Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with the system.
• Prepares reports, studies and documentation. Deliver presentations.
• Shall work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
• Responsible for assisting more senior positions and / or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.

Clearance :

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required.

Compensation :

While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$115,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
