Overview

Maria Parham Health in Henderson, NC is seeking an experienced Medical / Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Medical / Surgical unit

Conduct patient assessments, monitor progress, and document care accurately

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery goals, and discharge instructions

Support patients in achieving optimal health outcomes through therapeutic interventions

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact license eligible)

Minimum of 2 years of recent medical / surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting

Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Experience with electronic medical records systems; Meditech experience preferred

Required Education : Associates of Nursing

Assignment Details

Travel position with competitive compensation package

Housing and travel allowances provided

Contract length : typically 13 weeks, with potential for extension

Full-time schedule

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM (Days)

Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
