Ramp Agt / Feeder / DOT / CDL

Job Duties

Coordinates all operations relating to the interface between feeder aircraft loading / unloading activities; to perform all job duties and responsibilities required of a courier and / or tractor-trailer driver. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

High school diploma / GED.

Minimum Experience

None

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to properly identify and prioritize loading / unloading procedures. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and / or assistance from another person. Ability to operate GSE. Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training. Knowledge of timekeeping / FedEx computer systems. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicate verbally in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Job Conditions

Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations. Note : there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements.

FMCSA covered safety sensitive position. Medical exam required. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
