Job Description
The Category Manager is responsible for driving category strategies to achieve Best Buy Business commercial channel growth initiatives with the primary goal of maximizing sales and margin. As a Category Manager you will develop category assortment strategies identify key vendors determine strategic pricing cadence and create go to market plans focused on the B2B / Commercial channel. Additionally you will strategically drive and maintain vendor relationships and partner with cross-functional teams to mobilize against established strategies. Sales support is a critical function in this role; driving solutions negotiating on large opportunities identifying emerging markets and categories are all critical responsibilities. The Category Manager will also play a critical role in collaborating with Best Buy Core merchants aligning and adopting broad Best Buy strategies to the Commercial market identifying opportunities to leverage Core strategies & tactics to the Commercial customer are key functions. The Category Manager will be expected to lead major strategic initiatives within the Team. Working with cross-functional partners to eliminate roadblocks establish new policies and drive for transformative change within the organization are key responsibilities in this regard. The Category Manager will need to demonstrate strong organizational skills be capable of applying analytical methodology to problem solve and make decisions and consistently prioritize within a rapidly changing business environment.
This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work core hours on-site at the Best Buy Corporate office in Richfield MN three days a week and virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location the remainder.
