Job description

The General Manager oversees multiple café and coffee bar operations across properties, ensuring excellence in service, quality, and profitability. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong business acumen, and the ability to support operations directly, including barista work and delivery driving when needed.

Overview

Position : General Manager - Multi-Property Food Service

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 6 : 30 AM-4 : 00 PM (No Nights, No Weekends)

Base pay range : $80,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management :

  • Oversee daily operations for multiple café and coffee bar locations
  • Ensure brand standards, food safety, and quality control are met across all properties
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen and cafe teams effectively

Customer Engagement :

  • Build strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and drive repeat business
  • Actively seek feedback and address customer concerns promptly

    • Sales & Marketing :

  • Implement strategies to increase café and catering sales
  • Oversee signage, labels, and promotional materials for consistency and accuracy

    • Team Leadership :

  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members for both front- and back-of-house roles
  • Create staffing schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all locations
  • Step in as a barista when needed to maintain service flow

    • Financial Management :

  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and maximize profitability
  • Oversee payroll, inventory control, and cost tracking for all properties

    • Logistics & Delivery :

  • Hold a valid driver's license to operate the company delivery vehicle
  • Coordinate and execute deliveries between properties as required

    • Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing multiple food service or café locations
  • Strong barista skills and ability to train staff on coffee preparation
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in financial management, payroll, and sales reporting systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
