Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Belmont, NC 28012 (Greater Charlotte area)

Unit : 4 North ICCU (Immediate Coronary Care Unit)

Setting : Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care / IMCU

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13-week travel contract (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 15 / 2026)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, IMCU, or acute care nursing

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam within 24 hours of offer

Availability to work through January 4, 2026

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care to individuals recovering from cardiac events or procedures

Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize arrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition

Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform comprehensive cardiac assessments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and discharge planning

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
