American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a leader in supporting small business owners and larger companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The US Small Business and Middle Market segment (SME - Small and Medium Enterprise) is the largest GCS customer segment, with tremendous growth momentum, and continues to be a key area of investment and focus for our company. American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment and a continued area of investment and focus. The Small Business Marketing Team is responsible for acquisition and customer engagement marketing for all Small Business Charge, Proprietary Lending and Co-Brand cards and Small Business Banking Products.

The Senior Manager of Spend Growth & Diversification Marketing will be a core member of the Customer Engagement Marketing Team and tasked with driving Card Member loyalty and engagement through industry-specific marketing programs. This is a crucial role, leading a team of 2 direct reports, to ideate, launch, and run targeted loyalty offers to capture spend across relevant industries where our Card Members do business. This Senior Manager will also be responsible for developing and piloting loyalty offer strategies tailored to specific customer segments to test new ways to drive spend with new offer capabilities.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end marketing strategy for industry offer campaigns that are revenue-driving across industries like construction, electronics, and advertising inclusive of offer grid development & targeting as well as cross-channel marketing amplification tactics.

Set the roadmap for innovative spend offer pilots and develop new & tailored ways to engage key customer segments.

Optimize offer engagement and relevancy through a test & learn curriculum with Analytics.

Partner with internal teams (GMNS, Small Business Product, and Amex Offers) to align on high impact opportunities.

Partner with Risk / Analytics teams on campaign strategies, targeting / set up, and results measurement.

Prepare periodic updates for senior leadership on in-year progress and long-term aspiration.

Continually advance our strategy and performance by innovating our tactics and applying a test & learn approach.

Lead 2 direct reports and coach them in their development.

Required Qualifications

Experience in digital marketing, understanding of execution processes and marketing capabilities (including Amex Offers), and previous work with creative agencies required.

Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Collaborative approach, and the ability to partner and influence effectively across band levels.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions and translate insights into winning strategies.

Problem solver who can persevere through operational challenges and navigate a matrixed organization.

Passion for thinking outside the box and looking externally to find inspiration.

Desire to have fun, inspire a positive team culture, and project a growth mindset to take advantage of dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience preferred.

Looking for a seasoned B35 with experience managing a team and diverse set of partners.

Interest in identifying new and streamlining opportunities, selling ideas into leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and / or direct reports to drive results and inspire change.

Salary Range

$103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually bonus benefits
