Our client, an innovative leader in advanced threat detection solutions, is seeking a Director of Firmware Engineering to lead the development and optimization of embedded systems across their cutting-edge security platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a high-performing firmware engineering team.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of embedded firmware for complex hardware systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Drive technical strategy, architecture decisions, and process improvements.
  • Ensure firmware reliability, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in firmware development, including 5+ in engineering leadership.
  • Strong background in embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and hardware / software integration.
  • Experience delivering production firmware for safety-critical or high-reliability products.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
