There are three main focuses of this position : - To be the first point of contact for providers or other healthcare facilities throughout the region that need / want to transfer / admit to a Mercy facility. - The assignment of patients to an appropriate unit based on the identified criteria within each facility. - Resource and / or backup for Staffing utilization and EVS / Transport dispatching - Resource to bedside RNs with support of IV starts, Admissions and / or Discharges, simple patient transport and room stripping or other basic bedside support. The position will utilize EMR modules, electronic scheduling systems and will collaborate with others within the unit as well as a variety of care teams. Our HUB nurses work remotely via phone and computer to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. Position Overview : The East Region Throughput Center RN serves as a clinical expert and point of contact for : Providers and facilities initiating patient transfers or admissions to Mercy hospitals. Assigning patients to appropriate units based on facility-specific criteria. Staffing coordination and logistics. You'll use EMR modules, electronic scheduling systems, and collaborate with care teams to ensure a seamless, reliable experience for patients, providers, and coworkers. This Position Is Fully Remote : A high-speed internet connection is required. Candidates must reside within 1 hour of one of the below locations to allow for on-site presence in case of technical difficulties.
