Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Bridgeport, WV 26330 (North Central West Virginia)

Position : Registered Nurse – Telemetry Float Pool (Travel Assignment)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – MedSurg / Telemetry Float Pool

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : November 30, 2025

End Date : March 1, 2026

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,990 - $2,130 per week

Float Pool : Float between multiple units (6N, 7N, 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care)

Dress Code : Royal Blue scrubs

Charting System : Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (West Virginia or compact state)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – required

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in a telemetry or MedSurg nursing job

Proficient in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips (must pass a cardiac rhythm exam)

Willingness to float to multiple hospital units as needed

Copy of unexpired driver’s license required for submission

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with CHF, cardiac, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology diagnoses

Float between designated hospital units based on staffing needs, reporting to the clinical coordinator

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; collaborate with monitor technicians as needed

Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5-6 (occasionally up to 1 : 7 depending on patient acuity)

Work collaboratively with CNAs, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules

Accurately document patient care and assessments in the Epic EMR system

Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
