Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE :

The PT Assistant II, Art Studios provides support to faculty and helps facilitate student learning in the Art Department for a variety of related classes, which may include but are not limited to : Ceramics, Design, Painting, Drawing, Photography and Art Appreciation. Position provides assistance to faculty and students during labs, encourages student engagement and critical thinking, proactively supports the department, and maintains Art Studios and Art Inventories to ensure a clean and safe work / laboratory environment.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES :

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items, such as kiln shelves, easels, chemical containers and bags of clay. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity.
