About the role
This role will be an integral part of our R&D team, which includes talented scientists, engineers and experienced technicians. You will have the opportunity to learn about solar cell design, fabrication and scale-up techniques, as well as device testing, all while contributing to exciting new technology projects.
What you'll do
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe laboratory environment.
- Support device testing and perform routine tasks like substrate cleaning, solution preparation, and inventory management.
- Work with various lab equipment such as gloveboxes, evaporators and pumps, laminators, soldering tools, solar simulators, and testing tools.
- Document work thoroughly and communicate results effectively with team members.
- Work the evening shift from 2pm - 10pm, Monday – Friday.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong interest in pursuing a career in a lab environment.Passion for learning and working in a lab setting.Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new processes.Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Mechanically inclined and excited to learn about equipment operations and maintenance.Ability to stand for extended periods and flexibility with shift times.Preferred
Any previous laboratory or technical experience, such as internships or coursework.Familiarity with wet lab techniques, such as using pipettes.An interest in thin film processes or material characterization techniques.Exposure to mechanical systems (e.g., auto or HVAC repair) or chemical handling.Salary Range
