Primary Responsibilities
- Works closely with Material Project Manager and other functional teammates to include Strategic Sourcing, engineering, quality, and planning & control.
- Ensure purchase orders are confirmed, deliveries are scheduled and maintained to meet production requirements
- Works with Material Project Manager to Identify and mitigate supplier risk
- Maintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
- Monitor inventory levels, assess shortages for projects and ensure delivered hardware meets quality standards per contract requirements.
- Work with different departments to determine expected delivery dates to inform Project Managers of potential delays.
- Monitor schedules of ongoing projects and have material assigned for forecasted builds to boost productivity and prevent delays that can affect delivery.
- Engages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
- Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations.
- Compile, record and report project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of prior relevant work experience or a Master s with less than 2 years of experience In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience will be considered
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or purchasing activities, including experience managing production work orders.
- Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
- Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electromechanical components or manufacturing
- Deltek Costpoint software
- Windchill configuration management software
- Interpreting and creating Bills of Materials
- Government contractor material purchasing requirements

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
