Job Description

Job Title : Designer

Schedule : 9am – 5 pm Monday-Friday and occasional nights or weekends, full time, on-site.

Office Location : Corporate Office – 4938 Lincoln Dr, Edina MN.

Salary : $55,000 - $75,000

Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, paid time off, paid holidays.

Travel : Some travel outside of Minnesota to support other company locations in Iowa and Arizona on an infrequent basis

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform interior design work that includes, but is not limited to, curating home finishes and selections, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.
  • Oversee the home personalization process and serve as the primary resource and support for selection documentation and quality control oversight.
  • Review and manage home personalization documentation of floor plans, finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction.
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting.
  • Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts.
  • Participate in construction site visits and assist with field reports, RFIs & submittal review.
  • Work on multiple project teams and support concurrent projects in varying phases of project delivery
  • Manage external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators.
  • As a self-motivated designer with strong Revit skills, you can jump in and produce test fits and project deliverables as necessary, such as floor plans, specifications, sections, elevations, & details needed for construction in collaboration with consultant architects.
  • Support marketing and sales efforts as design team expert at client-facing events.

How You Qualify

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited university
  • 3-7 years of interior design experience – ideally in the Multi-Family Housing sector
  • Proficient with Revit, Enscape, AutoCAD
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practice
